Toxic

Whether socially constructed or inherent, humans have instinctual reactions to that which is toxic. Bad smells, spikes or sounds can all be indications to stay away. Despite our instinctual reactions often these processes are beneficial to the greater environment wether it be decay of organic matter in a forest that reconstitutes soil or poison ivy that can help remediate acidic soil and feed animals. These are interesting relationships because they can be exclusive toxic to humans while wildlife remains unaffected. In a time where we have damaged the earth so much how can this exclusive toxicity become a tool for ecological repair?
